Benard Crawford Jr., Senior Pastor

A man of integrity and a true visionary.  Pastor Benard has been known for taking a place of desolation and turning it into a "Creation of Greatness". In 2002 God called him to do that same work in the lives of believers. His challenge to win souls for Christ has become his passion.  In 2002 Pastor Benard received a commission from God to found House Of Prayer Evangelistic Church. While he has received some Christian Education Pastor Benard credits the Holy Spirit with the wisdom and insight he has acquired while in this postion. Pastor Benard believes that whom God calls He qualifies and whom God qualifies He sends. He has become a testament of this belief.  He has gleaned from the Word Of God in leading the flock that God has given him. Pastor Benard has used the ministry of Gospel Rap to transform the minds of youth and older saints alike. He is a part of the Gospel rap duet Exposure. Pastor Benard is the owner of a Barber Salon. Our pastor believes the commission extends beyond the pulpit and he uses his occupation as a barber to witness to men, women, and children from all walks of life. He believes that what you make happen for others, God will make happen for you. Pastor Benard is under the leadership of Bishop Larry B. Aiken and Pastor Olivia Aiken of Memorial Baptist Church and New Vision Ministries.

He is a native of Kansas City, Kansas. He was educated in the Kansas City Public School System. He is the oldest of four children. Pastor Benard is married to Evangelist Trina Crawford and they have two children, LaRon who is a student at Morehouse College and LaNesha who is a sophmore in high school. Both of their children are musically gifted. LaRon has won numerous awards for opera. LaNesha is active in sports and band. Pastor Benard and Lady Trina are extremely proud of their children. Their children have exhibited a desire to serve the Lord with willingness.

Pastor believes that God has a unique assignment for all believers and that we must, through obedience, operate in the calling and gifting that God has imparted to us.

Evangelist Trina Crawford

Lady Trina is the First Lady of House of Prayer Evangelistic Church. She has stood by Pastor Benard by serving in the ministry in various capacities.  

 Lady Trina has been a childcare provider over a decade. She enjoys being on the frontline for our children. She believes that teaching our children how to war in the spirit against the enemy is extrememly necessary. First Lady Trina is active in our Intercessory Prayer Ministry "Saints Seeking the Savior" and our "H.E.L.P  M.E." Women's Ministry. She believes "Prayer is our Weapon" and "Faith is the Key". 

Sis. Trina was ordained as an Evangelist in May 2006 by Bishop and Pastor Aiken of New Visions Minitries and Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.

 Lady Trina has been married to Pastor Benard for over 14 years. She is grateful for the ministry of marriage. Evangelist Crawford and Pastor Crawford have two beautiful children. She loves her family and believes that her family is her first line of ministry.
